I think you need to check your original welsh phrase - 'ydi marcus arny' is most definitely not welsh.

It's full of spending mistakes and my Welsh is rusty.

"methu findio" means "Can't find" as in "I can't find it/him"

Marcus is a name, and "ydi" means "is?" so that would mean "Is Marcus" - not sure on the last part, "arno" would mean "on" and "fo" is him... so, "Is Marcus on it/him?"

"I can't find it, is Marcus on it?" would be my best guess without knowing the context of the message.

ydi = ydu (pronounced uhh-deee)

With welsh it is usual for

u pronounced 'ee'
y pronunced 'u'.
d is 'd'
dd is 'th'
f is 'v'
ff is 'f'

unless the word following that word is different, and depending on where the letter is in the word.

e.g. ysbytty gwynedd (Gwynedd Hospital) is pronounced

Us-Butt-EE Gwin-e-th

BTW, there are two houses in my street. Mine is the one in the middle.
