Went and purchased the new Razor Blade with Core!

My alienware 13 has already shipped.

Definitely not as good looking as the blade but:
Much cheaper
OLED screen
2x m.2 slots
Upgradable ram slots

And hopefully it will run cooler

Still having a mare trying to cancel my stealth order. They don't seem to understand what cancel means.

Wow, if yours arrives today I think you will be one of the first to get your hands on it!
Looking over at the notebook forum most peoples are still in transit with only one person thinking he will get his tomorrow. My syncreon date is for the 8th but I am hoping it doesn't take that long in transit as it was sent a couple of days ago.

When did yours leave china?

I went for OLED as well, albeit a slightly better spec. Maybe they've had too many orders from people changing from Razer all of a sudden? :p:D
 
Haha possibly.
Wanted the oled but have my own ram and ssd so wanted to keep the costs down. The 13 worked out 500 cheaper than the 1080p razer I ordered
 
EPIC FAIL TIME!

So I arrive home excited, only to find the package that arrived from Dell contained this...

I then check the order status to find out the laptop should be arriving on the 14th! :o:(
 
Oh that is so rubbish. That is like a major kick in the teeth.
I guess you can put a couple of bricks in the bag and just carry it around until the 14th :)

I actually love a 13" screen. I have owned/own plenty of 12/13/15/17" laptops and 13 is my favourite. Plus there is an amazing invention called a monitor which you can plug your 13" laptop into when you are at home/office

I'm trying to cancel an order for a Razer Blade just now. Their customer service really isn't acceptable. Took them 2 days to put a "request" in for a cancellation; their email even said that cancellation isn't guaranteed (even though the estimated ship date is after 9th December).

I get the impression that they really are trying to run before they can walk with these systems.

I had exactly the same. They took so long to cancel mine that the free accessories shipped. I managed to refuse delivery or they were expecting me to send them back at my cost.
It was this poor customer service that caused me to cancel my order. I would still like the blade but I don't want a £2000 paperweight

Yes same here. They are horrible for customer care. Would hate to know what will happen if you need to service/RMA the laptop!

I'm also still waiting for them to release the hold on my card!

I actually made the stupid mistake of trusting these guys.

In the first instance, I preordered the 1TB FHD model; and they put a hold on my debit card naturally. They kept pushing back the ship date, so I put in a cancellation request for that one and stupidly ordered the 512GB QHD+ model (which they apparently had in stock); because I thought -incorrectly- that cancellation meant cancellation.

The net result is that about 5 grand of my funds are on hold before Christmas! With that in mind, I've now put a cancellation in for the 512GB QHD+ model. That way, I'm reasonably confident that at least one of the laptops will not ship.

If neither laptop ships, and the hold on my debit card drops off, I'll be happy, as I can then just buy an Alienware 13 OLED. If one of the laptops ships, fair enough; I'll be happy with the Blade. If both laptops ship; I'm in a world of hurt before Christmas.
 
You folks are affirming my decision to not put my trust in Razer. I was ready with money waiting for the new Razer Blade Pro - "Available Now in the UK" back in October.

Then nothing, not a sorry, not a new date, nothing. Finally messaged them on FB... "We're looking at late Q1 2017 now". Well thanks for the heads up!

Then I started reading about how god-awful their customer service is and I decided to stick with what I know and get the new Macbook Pro instead (and save £1k+).

Such a shame, great products, great tech, awful customer service. Just not willing to trust them. Maybe next time round!
