Western digital 1tb my book problem

I have a Western digital 1tb my book but i can't seem to get it work right on esata. When i start my pc and go into my desktop its there in my computer and can use it but after a while it goes awol and don't come back unless i restart my pc but the drive works on the Usb and firewire. I was told to enable AHCI in my bios but when i do that i get a bsod stop: ox0000007B before my pc gets to the desktop. I used to have a JW-IP35-PRO and my book would not boot into windows from a cold boot unless i pressed restart. I brought a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P and it boots into windows without any problems but the hard drive goes awol. Any info would help.

This my book is doin my head in. I've managed to get windows to boot with ahci enabled but it still disapears and the only way to get it back is to pull the power cable out of the my book drive in out it back in or restart the pc.
