Western Digital Caviar Black

I purchased the said hard drive a few weeks back along with some other bits.

They are all installed now and i decided to run the Windows Experience scoring system.

The hard drive scores 5.9 for disk transfer rate, which is the same score that my old hard drive received when i had it in, and that hard drive is a good 5 years old.

I though WD Blacks were meant to be faster? If not, why did i pay extra for the Black over the Green? :confused:

Windows benchmarks mean nothing at all.
I am sure if you ran hd tune it would be quite a bit faster.

OK then, that's a relief. Would be 7.1 overall if that didn't drag it down.

That score is fine, don't worry since it'll be similar to most people.
