Western Digital or Seagate

Personally, I love using Western Digital Drives. I have had no problems with them and they are rather rapid. I'm sure Seagates are just as good though, I know they had some problems with the 7200.11 drives, but their more recent ones are great.

If you want high capacity portable hard drive I suggest you put together your own. I'd use one of these with one of these. If you can stretch your budget, put one of these in it.

Love my WD drive but tbh I think Samsung make then every bit as good, the F1/F2 range are bloomin fast, very quiet & very reliable.

I hadn't thought of using OEMs to make my own, are there 2.5" versions? I want it to fit in my pocket lol

Sure are, just throw one of these in and you will be sorted.

Also, 1TB 2.5in drives have just been announced by Western Digital, but they are thicker than normal ones and may not fit in these cases. They are supposedly coming in Western Digital's My Passport Essential SE external drives.

If I didnt want to do the OEM style what options are there between WD, Seagate and Samsung?

I dont need links to OCUK website just like model numbers and a picture or something :)
