So, my power supply for my 1TB WD My Book blew and so I sent it off for a replacement by way of RMA. They have sent back another drive and a power supply .... what should I do?

I recall them having a service where you just get an instant replacement, but when I opted against that (if I recall) as it required credit card details.

:)

The standard rma is just a swap you send yours they send you a new one. Once you get the new one I dont think you need to do anything else.

I have gone for the advanced one. They have sent me a new drive, arriving soon and then I have 30 days to send my old one back.

But I only sent a power supply with an accompanying letter asking for it to be replaced. I did not send the whole drive back to them as the drive itself was working fine. I now have my original drive with no power supply and a new drive with power supply. Are WD expecting me to send it back? There is no paperwork that suggests I am supposed to?

As you're so honest as to have raised it here then really you've only 2 options

1) Keep the new drive or
2) Get in touch with them and tell them about it.

They'll more than likely tell you to keep it, but if they want it returning make sure they're paying for the courier.

ah sorry misread your post. Phone them tomorrow I got a cool dutch dude so they migth tell you to send it back or if they say keep it, take the drive out its very easy and you get another internal drive free :D
