No, Don't worry about these drives they are rock solid, Long story to be told one day ! ;)
You may need to jumper them to sata 1 if Your controller is not sata 2

I've just bought two and suspect im having problems. Going to look into it tonight.

Will get back to you.

Did you have any problems. I'm thinking of getting two of these bad boys and sticking them together for a RAID 1 setup.

hi,

ive just plugged mine in and windows found it fine and installed the drivers for it however windows can't see it............
i have a sata drive installed already
any ideas?

cheers,

You'll need to go into Disk Management (right click My Computer and pick Manage, DM is in the lefthand tree) then create and format a partition on the drive before it will be accessible to the OS.

Drives are excellent and very quiet, but can run hot without cooling

Or something like partition Magic is much better if You ever need to use it elsewhere
Huh? Why would you spend £40 on a piece of software to do something Windows provides for free?

If You ask that question You obviously have not been around harddrives as much as You think !, and I'm not being funny

Often windows will bleat about correctly partitioned and formated drives until it can format partitions itself, partitions created by windows often fail integrity checks with proper HD tools, which is not good if You ever need to recover data etc..

now i'm up and running, quiet and fast drive dead pleased with it. although in my crappy tsunami dream case it has a deeper sound when accessing compared to my 80gb sata drive. :) bloody resonance
