I remember running wintune at a Lan party and it was as quick my pals Pentium 2 450.

Yup, tuning the fsb bus to 100 just like the Pentiums and they pretty much matched them! Only had a bit more cache too and about half price

I remember the early cpu offering of a celeron 300 clocked at 450.

My first cpu from ocuk was an Athlon slot A

i had one of those.... also got a Duron 600 @................. 900 or 950mhz iirc (funnily enough i found it during a loft clear out over xmas). i had a BP6 mobo but never put more than 1 chip on it.

i think my 1st purchase from overclockers was a just released Geforce 256 DDR.
