What 10 games would you buy for gamerscore alone?

I wouldnt have Condemned (First one, havent played second) on a list of easy 1000 points, you really have to find every item in the game to get the achievements. Probably not a hard task if you can be bothered, and made a lot easier by a walkthrough but in comparision to King Kong or Fight Night, not in the same league.

Need for speed most wanted, phantasy star universe (Really easy), king kong, fight night round 3 :P. Although I'd only pick them up for GS if I had no other games to play or they where <£5

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - apparently on of the easy games to get the full 1000 in a few hours. Havent played it myself though.

It is easy apart from one of the boss battles had me stuck for a few tries. i quite enjoyed the game too, which is sad. Yet I really enjoyed open season and surfs up too.

Some people actually buy games solely to increase their gamescore? Oh dear, oh dear.

Yup. There's this kid at my college who's absolutely obsessed with getting gamerscores. He never stops going on about it. I must say though that it has increased the life of some games for me, Pro evo being one of them. One challenge is to see how far you can shoot and score. I didn't do it for the points (I think it was something like 10 that you got anyway) but it was a cool challenge to have. I wish more games implemented challenges.

that is exactly the principle i love about gamerscore, its about beating the game properly. Not only that but having something to show for it. I complete the easy games because so will everyone else with a high GS but im not proud of it, its a bit like work lol but ill also beat the toughies and thats great.

Truth is you wont have more than 30k gamerscore purely from easy 1k games.

Can GS be spent or anything else? Or is it purely just a number on the profile?

As you can see, i don't spend much time on my 360, hence my GS lol.

Got most of that from GTA4 :o

its a personal achievment record for me, i think id find it hard to justify playing games for extended periods if there was no reward, however trivial. Dont forget there are other competitions and such that are measured by gamerscore or achievements in a certain game, which gives them a degree of tngible merit

I wouldn't have it on a list of easy 1000 points either, but that's because there are only 970.

King Kong
Oblivion
NBA 2k6
Madden 06
Open Season
Fight Night
Phantasy Star Universe (although pretty tedious)
Spiderman: Friend or Foe is very simple to get 1k on and I'll admit I quite enjoyed it even though it was so easy :o
LMA Manager
Fuzion Frenzy 2

From what I've seen, they're all pretty cheap to buy, I've seen quite a few for £5ish.
Personally I rented all but Oblivion and King Kong (it was cheap and I quite liked it).

It's funny how people get a sense of reward or achievement from points like this, and like some games where you get a sense of gaining money or stuff like in X3 or mmorpg, you trade and make money or you kill stuff and level up but then when you get to a certain point you realise it’s a bit pointless and you have gained nothing.

Sure its fun while its fun but trying to gain numbers doesn't mean much unless they're tied to something more meaningful than some pointless task, saying that i do like the gamerscore as it does add something but don't bother doing it for any other reason than enjoyment, just remember no one else gives a **** about your score! ;)

Oh but going for lots of easy points will be looked at in the negative.

the question is though, what is meaningful? Its all just numbers at the end of the day, how long you live, how much money you have, how successful you are, none of it matters when your worm food....

Not to bring anyone down or nothing.

On i side note @ Haly wtf did that gamerscore come from? Im sure you've only had an xbox about half as long as i have and youve got near 50k!
