Hey,

I'm after a sata HD for storage and unsure which one to opt for. 250gb drives seem to be the best priced capacity available. I was going to wait but will be ordering the gskill hz, so may aswell get it at the same time.

I've heard good things about the hitachi, samsung and WD drives. I run 2 raptors atm, so noise isn't really an issue. Any help greatly appreciated :)

I bought a 250Gb WD SATA II drive with 16Mb cache a couple of weeks ago, and it is working fine.

At £55.95 + VAT, I think I might get another one! :)

[Edit]

And the 250Gb Seagate SATA II is on a special deal for this week at £52.95 + VAT - although it only has an 8Mb cache.
