Wondering what 3.5" bay Fan controllers are suitable for use with PWM 4pin fans?
Also if anywhere sells 4pin fan cable extensions?
I have four Akasa Vipers in my Gigabyte GZ-X1 case, two at front (one in a Kama Bay) and one at rear with one fitted to a Kama Angle CPU cooler.
The Kama Bay, Kama Angle and rear fans are connected via an Akasa cable to the motherboard CPU fan header.
The lower front fan is connected to the motherboard 4pin case fan header.
I started of with two Vipers one at bottom front and rear of case, with the Scythe fans on the CPU cooler and Bay, thought I would see if replacing these with Vipers would improve cooling and require less fan speed and reduce noise, but things got louder and not much cooler. Core Temp still seems to see my CPU core temps as 39*c and 36*c idle and so far maximum was around 53*c.
Thinking a fan controller may make noise easier to control, but the Akasa AK FC-06BK Fan Controller Junior has one review stating it's not suitable for 4 pin PWM fans?
