What 8800GT's have the fan issues?

Looking at the leadtek on the OCUK site i'd have to say it looks like the older cooler:

Looks more like the PNY version to me:

I have the asus 8800gt and it uses a custom HSF which works very well. Idles at 45 and under load hits 57. I haven't finished clocking it yet but its hitting 650/1650/2000 easily enough.

Thanks. It came in that second wave just before Christmas after the first batch sold out everywhere so hoped it was newer one.

It idles at around 55C and Loads at near 80C. What's considered unsafe load on these ones?
It is factory OCd at 660Mhz, up from 600Mhz so expected temps to be a bit more

Mine has. Fixed it with rivatuner profiles. Takes 10 minutes, and its amazing. now my pc is at 20% fan in Idle, 40% above 55 degrees, 60% above 60 degrees, 80% above 65 degrees.

the hottest it has now ever been is 68% after 4 hours of crysis. before that it was 94degrees after 30 minutes of crysis.

why not get a gts for a few quid more. Whether or not you get more performance, you WILL get a better cooler.

Is that this bit below, I can't work it out. Is it following this guide, thanks.

How come the cooler on the 8800 GTS is so much larger, does the extra power justify the need for a dual-slot cooler?
