what a card :)

I'm not happy..... I'm jealous you had £400 to spend on a graphics card :)

Just tell me it was bought for BF3 and its not going to be wasted on a MMORPG :D

I've pre-ordered BF3, playing Deus Ex HR and will get Skyrim when it's released. :D
I'm dribbling already, hopefully it's getting delivered Saturday morning, then i've got a nice upgrade and overclocking weekend ahead of me.

Enjoy, should last you a while. The card looks the business. :)

Is there a noticeable difference in frame rates between this and your SOC 480? Great if there is, though I would have thought that they would perform similarly, even though the 580 has higher clocks that a stock card. :)

what would be good to test with

Shame as its no faster than a year old HD 5970 times they aint moved on that much!!! Still you love it maxed games, no way hosay!!!!!!!. Yup a 5970 was more expensive by £120 but a leap forward nope.

Not really a relevant comparison given that the 5970 was two GPU's. The top end single GPU lineup often have around the same power as the last generations dual GPU top end cards.

Why does it matter how many processors a video card has? If you can get the same or better performance for less money with a dual core card for less money then a single high end card then you might as well the one that's better value for money right?

Not the point the comparison was with a lastest card costing nearly £400 pound against a year old card costing a bit more. The only gain in a year is a bit more v-ram not that impressive is it. Just goes to show how good the HD5790 was and is. Hope the new range of GPU are better or very old Hd 5870 tri-fire will still be quicker at lower res lol.

If it was not for Bitcoin there be plenty of these going nice and cheap too.

Nice card.

But still wont hit average 60FPS with Metro 2033 "maxed out". Well my MSI 580 twin frozr wont at least. Just bought Metro 2033 (for a fiver) and was amused to see that all the moans about this game being a resource hog where right. Looks like you need SLI or Xfire to hit the max on this game. Obviously I accept that this is only one game (before I get jumped on).

:):):)
