What a lovely day it is - RANDOM

We have had a BBQ next door tonight - Why these bloody townies buy a house in quiet village and say isn't it nice and quiet here and then get all their scummy relatives around to shout and scream and have music up loud I don't know.

Had to bolt and bar the doors and windows and put headphones on and watch Fiona on Antiques Roadshow.

I sold up last house because of the scum that rented the bungalow next door and now got it again.:mad:

Did some gardening, made some holes in the back of my naff ikea bookcase thing so my PS4 can sit on the shelf and the cables go out tje back neatly. Then had a few beers and a BBQ. Winding down now with The Witcher 3. I'm only a couple of hours in and loving it!

Planning my mother's funeral, she died yesterday. In a wierd sort of way it was a lovely day - first time in 30 years the whole family have been in one place, sharing stories, tears etc.

Top tip for those who still have parents around - make sure you have video of them, hearing their voice and their laughter can mean the world to you after they're gone.

Sorry for being a little morbid guys.

I'm so sorry to read that. :( :(

Remember the love she has for you / the times you spent with her (in celebration of her life). Great idea about the video recordings, btw. :)

If you need to talk, contact me. :)

We had a council family move it next door, a mum with 3 or 4 kids and a kid with a kid. Had a quiet old couple there before, who left because of the bedroom tax. Nice summer days means windows and curtains shut and headphones on :(

Feels more like March than the end of May in not so sunny Southampton, very overcast, but at least not raining like on most bank holidays!

Last evening from 18.22 to 18.54 we had the most rain that I have ever seen in my almost 50 years. We had 23.7mm in just 32 minutes!! The garden which was bone dry earlier was under a good 2-3 inches of water and next door had a river running down their driveway. Even the drains started backing up which was worrying. The gutters just got overwhelmed and we had torrents of water running straigh off the roof. As soon as it started it stopped, literally just stopped!! Weird weather.

Today was meant to be my day off. Instead I'm sat in my man-cave editing the 1200 photos I took at a wedding on Saturday.

I was a guest but ended up the photographer as the official one no-showed & had his phone off.

I'm far from a professional & I only have a D3100.

Just hoping the happy couple will be happy with my efforts.

I'm at work again, very little sleep last night as 3/4 of the family started puking at various times throughout the night and I had to be up at 05:30.

Looking on the bright side, I didn't know I had 4 buckets in the house.

If the met office is to be believed Scotland is in for a full week of pure sunshine starting tomorrow. Got the sunscreen, beer and barbecue at the ready!

Been a good weekend here, although we're still waiting for the sun to make an appearance today. Going to chuck it down all day tomorrow. We've been relaxing all day and will probably have a BBQ later.
