There was a time when I also thought you needed a seperate dvd reader and writer (and tbh it made straight copying a lot faster...). Innocent times.... /sigh
 
unless of course he bought the samsung :p depending on which batch you get the samsung drive is unable to read the windows 7 media :D requires a firmware upgrade.

I found that out the other month :mad:

**** the GPU is pretty small, where do the pictures come out of it? where is my baby board to go with my MOBO. OCUK ripped me off!!1!
 
LOL! I'm pretty sure there's never ever ever ever been a drive that can write but not read. That would be a bit of a product design fail. We all have to learn though :)
