Hi there, as in the title what additives are you all using in your watercooling rigs. I know you have to use distilled/deionised water but what else are you adding to prevent algae etc forming.

Ok then, water wetter looks out of the question as it stinks and turns your tubes girlie pink. Is there any blue stuff thats good. Case has blue led fans and cold cathodes.

Thanks for the info so far guys.

Is'nt zerex supposed to be pink?

Antifreeze is a big no no for me. I am a mechanical engineer by trade so i know all about that stuff. As already mentioned it's designed for high temp/ high pressure automotive cooling systems.

If you have Zerex which i presume is pink and add a blue uv reactive dye what colour would you get? Some shade of purple?

I suppose i could add a UV dye to it to change the colour. Pink though!! I have a huge case with a huge window and pink would stand out a lot.
