Hello Everyone

Was wondering if I could get some suggestions in regards to what AIO to get. Basically as stated in previous posts I have hypersensitive hearing so I need to run what I consider to be a very quiet machine. Now I upgraded my system to Ryzen's new 2700X on a X470 chip-set and its running fantastic but I do notice the temps aren't as great as they could be. Since I am running a Fractal R5 with a fan setup that would be considered a low airflow setup, I figured that an AIO would be a better choice for this setup.

So I was wondering if you guys and gals could recommend an AIO that would adaquately cool my 2700X while remaining pretty damn quiet. I used to have a Corsair H70 and H60 but there was a problem with pump noise

With hypersensitive hearing I would not advise a CLC of any sort. I suspect you will hear the pump and fans .. and pumps are almost always audible even at idle. CLCs are a sub-group of AIO coolers. AIOs that are not CLC generally have much better build quality with copper radiators (instead of aluminum), proper threaded fittings (instead of press-fit / crimp-on fittings), better pumps (high coolant flow rate), fill port for topping up coolant and/or servicing meaning system can be maintained and cleaned in a year to 18 months of hard use .. basically they are low cost pre-assembled and filled custom H2O systems.

Alphacool and Swifttech make most (all I know of) but Swiftech is hard to find outside of USA and Alphacool has horrible customer support .. that said be quiet! Silent Loop series are made by Swiftech but have be quiet!'s excellent customer support. I'm running one and really like it .. and I hate CLCs with my Silent Loop being the only liquid cooling I have in 4 other systems in household being air cooled.

That or get a good top tier air cooler that will cool basically the same, use a good case and good case fans setupl properly and have a very quiet and cool system. Unseul built himself a 2700X in a Meshify case, changed case fans to 2x PH-F140MP front intakes a few weels ago and installed ARO-M14 cooler and likes it quit well.

If you don't have your case yet, I would suggest something like Phanteks Enthoo Pro (not Pro M) making sure it is one with 1x 140mm front intake and 1x 140mm rear exhaust fans, not one with 1x 200mm front intake .. the 200mm fan is garbage! Enthoo Pro M Glass linked below has 2x good fans and costs £94.99

There is a 'B-grade' Enthoo Pro with 200mm fan for £59.99 and you can get a 2-pack of PH-F140MP fans (same as stock 1200rpm case fans but PWM 1600rpm) for £16.26 .. case and 3x good fans for £76.52

I would suggest PH-TC14PE cooler for £49.99 but it does not come with AM4 mount .. I've emailed Phanteks about getting AM4 upgrade as I need one myself for PH-TC14PE I got a couple months ago assuming it had AM4 mount that they said would be included with new cases way back in January 2017.;)
