what am I doing wrong?

upto you,do updates first, then set both sets of ports to ahci mode, then try both intel sata2 and or marvel sata3 ports

if its still taking long to load try reflashing the bios

Erm, which BIOS file to download to USB? Apparently my motherboard has this q-flash enabled and I can press 'end' on the loading screen - do I still need it on my USB?

Okay, it now longer stays on "Loading Operating System..." for 20 seconds, it was around 3 seconds that time, but there's still a fairly long time to boot up.

Also on the Performance Benchmark it's REALLY bad this time.

you set both options to ahci in the bios?

what ports are you on,intel sata2 or marvel sata3

clean install of windows or a clone?

Clean
Still on the Intel Sata II
I've set the only 2 options in the whole BIOS that allows me to set to AHCI.

I've just been hit with another 100 important updates for Windows, so its going through them atm. Might have to continue tomorrow.

Just finished the 100 updates, here's the speeds now:

Looking much better, but on the SamSung Magician it still says AHCI deactivated.

those scores are down to enabling rapid mode, idk why its sticking at loading os (pull out the usb memory stick if its still plugged in)

download as ssd benchmark and just load it up,see if that detects whether your in ahci mode,

Okay so it says everything is now activated on the Samsung Magician and speeds all seem good now. Need to work on boot time and everything is ticketyboo.

Going to bed now, be back tomorrow :D
