Hey

Im kinda new to buying gaming computers with separate parts. Before now i usually just went down to the local computer shop and picked a cheap one. But now im getting what i thinks a good gaming computer.
Im getting:
Intel core 2 duo E8400
4GB Memory
500GB HD
Windows XP - Pro
And i understand i needed a graphics card, so im getting the Sapphire ATI Radeon 4870 "Toxic" GDRR5 512MB.
Is there anything else i need to buy? I have my monitor mouse and keyboard already.
Any power supplies etc.?
thanks

im not 100% sure but im guessing that the link in your post counts as a competitor

have a read of the rules. your not allowed to post to competitors in any way.

better to just paste up the spec and people can comment on that...

edit:

no apart from a decent graphics card you dont need anything else. it already has a power supply.

have you considered building your own pc ?

Hmmm, looks a bit ropey to me. No mention of the specific PSU model - so you might find that whatever it uses lacks the necessary two 6-pin PCI-E connectors, or just doesn't have the oomph to power a 4870.

Oh yeah, links to competitors are against the rules :)

i did but since im just starting to get to know everything, im just gonna buy this once, look into everything a bit more, then hopefully by the time i need a new PC.... ill know what it is im exactly doing

You need to say who made the bits - e.g., the make and model of motherboard, to get any sensible reply as to whether it will all work together.
