What Anti Virus Software?

Kaspersky Anti-virus: £12 for a year atm and IMO the best anti-virus available .

Well I had a free beta Kaspersky A/V on my main computer for past year and it was very good, sat in the back ground and never took much notice of it, never slowed the machine down, but it ran out in Jan 08 so I initially went for AVG but had a few problems and the constant updating on boot up becomes a drag.
So I tried AVAST... and on installation it checks out your whole computer before the windows start up screen and it found 2 or 3 trojans and some other spyware on my hard drive and considering I had just scanned the drive days earlier with AVG !
I am really impressed with AVAST and its FREE.

Nod32 or kaspersky everytime here.

Currently using kaspersky(its half price atm) due to my Nod32 licence running out.

For a free version i would go for Antivir and for a paid solution Kaspersky Antivirus.

Avast, I have heard goods things about zonealarm any of you guys agree?

haven’t used Zone alarm Pro for about a year, The AV on Zone alarm was powered by the Kaspersky AV engine.

Found it to be very good in its day, good firewall and AV.Not sure if its went the bloated resource hog route so many security apps have

Kaspersky used and quickly removed due to the compatibility problems it has with Steam.

Its a known problem with Kaspersky are aware of and will hopefully fix soon and i might reinstall it. Sadly its left a bitter taste in my mouth.
