I am keen to know what everyone else uses to wash, wax, de-tar/bug thier car.

Having recently bought my Focus ST (Orange) in showroom condition, i intend on keeping it in such state, the car came with a Diamond Brite kit but most of this is near empty and needs to be replaced.

SO, What do you guys use and for what:?

I have some Megs wax and few other bits but don't use them currently.

I use a team of Iraqi's.

I do have my own stuff but I rarely clean my own car and when I do it's only in the spring or summer typically, rest of the year I get my middle eastern friends to do it for me. Besides they can do it in a fraction of the time I can ...and I don't get hot, wet and annoyed ...I can just sit there being air-conditioned listening to some Wagner or something.

I have a couple of buckets, a McAlistair Pressure Washer with a foam lance (that's rubbish).
I have some snow foam, a collection of Meguiares polish, wax and shampoo and what-not.
I have a couple of sheepskin mitts, a load of terry towels, waffle weave this and that.
I have a long handled wheel brush (I think that's Meguiares actually) and some Bilberry wheel cleaner and a load of Wonder Wheels I got years ago in bulk (I prefer not to use that stuff too much though, it seems quite harsh)
I have some Turtle Wax Clear View something or other Rain Repellent, and some Windex stuff that does much the same thing but also cleans glass.
And a few other bits and bobs like clay lube and bug and tar remover etc.

I once wiped the inside of my windscreen with a microfibre cloth and pronounced it crap.

Apart from that, £5 to the local handjob place.

:D

I think it's Simoniz shampoo I've got, a big one-gallon bottle of it and Turtlewax and a load of old rags. And some T-cut. Seems to do me fine.

I use clothes washing liquid to get stubborn bird poo and bugs off. It just lifts it right off.
