What are the "must have" older 360 titles?

So I gave into temptation and completed my consoles collection with an Xbox 360 Elite 120GB in the January sales. It joins my PS1, PS2, PS3, Wii, Original Xbox and 4 PCs to vie for my gaming time.

It came with Forza and Halo ODST both of which are nice and I've downloaded Magic: The Gathering from Xbox live.

Now I'm interested in building up the games collection with some cheap titles - platinum collection or 2nd hand - and am interested to know what people think are the *must have* titles for the 360.

I'd say Battlefield 1943 for a XBLA game.

Mass Effect is excellent and I really enjoyed both of the Gears games (Gears 2 is cheap now I believe).
 
The Red Ring Of Death is a title that every xbox 360 seems to get. So it must be good.

No joking aside. Get Geometry Wars 2, Pac-Man Championship Edition and and Outrun (though i think that is on PSN in europe)

VIKING: Battle For Asgard

Off the top of my head, went out of a limb for all of those and thought they were all fantastic, Amped 3 was genius for a Sports game, great story & characters.
 
Going to echo the love for Crackdown. It's a fantastic game, well worth your time. I'd also suggest both Geometry Wars, and if you have friends to co-op with, Halo 3 and Castle Crashers.

King Kong - Good for a blast! And should be dirt cheap as well
Table Tennis

They were all fairly early titles (apart from dead space) that are well worth a bargain bin bash.
 
Get crackdown for you and a good friend who's willing to play (it's cheap). When playing with someone else it's brilliant fun!

Gears of War 1 is great but not many people play it, so the second one is probably a better option.

Rockstar table tennis is also extremely fun with a friend to play against online

And Dead Rising is probably one of my favourite zombie games of all time!
 
Dead Space is awesome, just borrowed it from a friend and it's a brilliant game :)
Also Resident Evil 5, Fable 2, Bioshock, Kameo is dirt cheap and is pretty fun, too
It depends what games you've played on other consoles and what types of games you like
