What are the rules with 3D home cinema use?

Can i play standard AVI files in 3D or do i need these MKV file things?

What do i play the MKV files with etc?

Is anyone esle using 3D at home to watch movies and stuff? Any tips to getting the best results?

Im watching it on my PC atm.... 3D TV pending

I have the SBS .mkv files and all i get is two images side by side litereally.

Its not merging them to create a 3D image, which setting should i tick or use etc?

Stressing me out now! - Tried using VLC player, WMP classic and sterioscopic player.

The sterio player at least activates the glasses but just get a SBS image no sterio 3D effect.

HELP!?!?!?!?

Ok no worries.

sorted now anyway, downloaded nVidias 3D player from their website.

Its free and works a treat
