Android users should use Quickmark instead of Barcode Scanner, it's much more in depth and better. And allows you to create a variety of custom QR codes from various things.

The last thing I want is to mess around creating QR codes from my phone, I've just installed it, and Barcode Scanner is better, quicker, doesn't make stupid noises, AND uses less resources.
Why?

Why do I want to launch a barcode reading app, and it not go straight to a barcode reading function?
Useless.
Oh, and epic use of a quickmark only barcode when trying to convince people to switch from one that can't read it![]()
Quickmark is just more fully featured
you're saying it's effort to make one extra click after launching Quickmark?
At least you have the option of either scanning or entering the code where a barcode may have been damaged so cannot be scanned properly.
The history screen is more detailed on Quickmark as opposed to Barcode Scanners popup dialogue that just shows a list of items instead of what they were be they ISBN, content, text, QR etc.
As for resources, Barcode Scanner is 0.8MB, Quickmark is 1.3. What a waste of memory indeed.
History of scanned items? Why? Why would I even care?
Useless.
Android users should use Quickmark.
