Since I was the only Quality Audit Technician at the Indesit Company that made certain cookers, by default I would be the worlds leading expert because nobody else did it.

You're right and thats why they were continually in the room looking at my test results so they could go back to the drawing board.
They are designers who work to a standard but the nitty gritty comes when they put it in my hands and I used to take it through all its tests.
So yes Scuzi, you were trying to be a smart arse but you were right.

no, not because you take the pee, that means nothing. but i struggle to find you held such a highly regarded job given your posts about other jobs and stuff.

It wasn't a highly regarded job - I was a test monkey that anybody could be trained to do.
I've never slagged other peoples jobs off either so I don't know what you're on about.

Yes actually.
Over the 27 years I was asked for more and more ways of testing stuff on cookers that varied from the stuff I already did.
22 years on the Italians decided that all that original stuff we did was no longer needed eg we didn't need to test for carbon monoxide anymore even though it was the law
That meant that all the tests I was left with were devised by me and the test equipment sourced by me.
The area I worked in was drawn up by me and now that area is in Poland and my system of working was put in all 15 factories.
You lose again.

What gets me is Scuzi is that you're in a wonderful job that required a lot of training but you have to put somebody else down.

I wasn't putting you down. It was a bit of banter that has quite obviously taken you out of your depth. I thought a man as experienced as yourself would have recognised that, especially after I gave you a massive clue in my last post. Evidently not.

There's no need to be insecure about a job you no longer do, it's in the past.
