Damn thats a blast from the past! I havnt listened to Pixies since my stoner mid-late teenage years... Pixies ended up being played at some point every night. Doolittle was one of the major music albums of my "youth".

Whilst I'm on the subject of my youth, please let me share one of the greatest compilation albums of that time Punk-O-Rama 3. I dont dare even estimate how many times this album got played Stoned, comedown, drunk or stone cold sober it had a vibe for every mood! I'm feeling so nostalgic now. I couldnt go back to that way of life now though, dont even know how I survived those years.

Survival of the Fattest for me. Introduced me to Strung Out, Lagwagon, No Use etc. Good times.

Still listen to Strung Out, still one of the fullest sounding bands of the genre, there something about their sound that is just satisfying on all levels. NUFAN was/is still one of the greatest bands ever, Tony's passing still hurts!
Another Banger compilation from that era was the Warped Tour series, peaked at 2001 went downhill after that, to be fair most of those sampler/compilation albums did at that time. Whole scene was in huge flux and change at that time, creeping too far towards Emo/Screamo vibe for my liking.
