Lol... can be any instrument... just what you are learning... can help when i get stuck or bored for new inspiration.

i know its cheesey but im playing iron maiden at the moment:p.. lol especially the wicker man and their new song

love just playing rock songs occasionally.. rocking out in the bedroom :p its the only.

ive just come out of a weird phase i think

I just played on the drums:

Spock's Beard - Cakewalk on Easy Street
Spock's Beard - June
Spock's Beard - Strange World
Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes (GREAT song :D )
Pink Floyd - Money (PULSE CD version)

I'm playing pretty much everything by Muse, latest song I've learnt is Cave. Guitar.

I've been working out stuff by ear to try and keep my ear in. Last songs learned were a new unrecorded Bloc Party song called 'Uniform' and Billy Talent's 'Devil In a Midnight Mass'.

As a bass player anything from Iron Maiden is great fun to play  but currently I'm still learning 'Havona' and 'Portrait of Tracy' - Jaco Pastorius and something with him and Joni Mitchell - 'god is a boogieman' ? or something. Bit of Galliano or Santana tends to hit the spot too.

Just learning Queen - Now I'm Here to show to my band.

I absolutely love Spocks Beard but not without Neal Morse.

Acoustic guitar:

Asilos Magdalena by The Mars Volta

Spanish-sounding fingerpicking Omar brilliance.

Easy enough for even me to play too!

Nice to see some Spock's Beard fans on the forum :D I've just got Snow and I absolutely love it.

At the moment i'm not learning anything particular apart from jamming to a bit of Paul Gilbert, Down to Mexico and I'm figuring out Six Billion People by ear.

The album V is a must buy and don't forget the DVD - Don't Try This At Home.
This is one great DVD and besides a live concert it shows Neal Morse in his home studio and all the band in the proper studio. Theres 5.5 hours footage altogether.

Yeah, agreed. The album "The Kindness Of Strangers" is my personal favourite. :)

Neal Morse is a cracking songwriter/vocalist/keyboard player too - does a great job for Transatlantic :)

On the live DVD the drummer sings and Morse gets on the drums and plays them professionally too. And he's amazing on guitar - in fact on the extras theres a clip of him and his brother playing on the same guitar - awesome.

Found this - Morse Brothers
