Mastertronic for the Commodore 64 and now also Larian :)
As a kid i used to love going into the postoffice / woolies at the end of the month. It had a whole wall of mastertronic (and firebird) games

IF I had behaved that month I got to have one of the "standard" £1.99 black/blue mastertronic games. (for my spectrum)

if i had been extra good or done extra chores i may even have got a £2.99 game (i think they were labled M.A.D and may have been in a grey box) or a firebird one

even now finders keepers brings back fond memories.

Sensible Software - Sensible World of Soccer, Canon Fodder 1 and 2, Wizkid, Wizball,
Sensible Golf and Meglomania

Those Amiga years were magical
a good few years ago now I went to a special meeting at the cambridge cumputer museum. it headlined Jon Hare of sensible software and Mike Montgomery of Bitmap Brothers.

all the computers were set up with different sensible / bitmap bros games , there were talks, demos and booze....... lots of booze!.

at the end we had to vote on which group were the better games makers. It was an impossible choice for me. I cant even remember who won tbh. truly decent blokes however or at least they appeared to be that night.

I still have my entrance ticket on my retrogaming display in the mancave

Mine used to be Square Enix as they had Final Fantasy and Deus Ex. But that company is greedy and lost the plot a little. They meddle in and messed up Mankind Divided and then later sold the franchise off...

I will still buy Final Fantasy games I like, but they went from being one of my favourites to just being another publisher.

Now I am not even sure who my favourite is anymore. I know I am not a fan of EA and Ubisoft. Those two are worse than Square Enix for me.

Capcom due to the Resi, DMC and Onimusha series. Always produce great games and run beautifully.

Also Nightdive studios for their great remasters.

Wish Core Design and Acclaim were still about.

They are high on my list due to Resi games and Street Fighter, but still not been the same for me the past 15 years.

Back in the day they had the classic Resi games, Dino Crisis, Onimusha and Street Fighter which I really enjoyed. But then Resi and Street fighter games lost the plot and only of late improved. But still not what they used to be in my book.

Also loved Nintendo a lot too going back 20 years ago. But these days they take ages to release games and they don't make F-Zero or Punch Out which I really liked. Had my Switch for ages and it gathered dust 90% of the time due to how long it takes them to release games.
