Gotta be Tom and Jerry, Road Runner and South Park. Quite like Ren and Stimpy too. Yeah Mr Jones, post # 2, South Park counts imo. I think that the cut-out type animation was inspired by the Monty Python cut-out sketches

I don't think anyone's mentioned Inspector Gadget yet, but that's worth a mention too!
