What are your favourite memories of Christmas?

I'm absolutely loving the present day Christmas' with young kids , it's really magical and I feel privileged to experience it

Yeah agree, love seeing their faces, and the innocence and wonderment in their eyes. Really is magical.

I struggle being a parent, always questioning if doing the right thing, never having enough time etc etc, but seeing him happy chills me out. Christmas time is always magical for him,I'm going to be heartbroken when the magic ends.

Xmas memories of mine, I struggle to think of one that stands out, but they've all been pretty good, mum and dad never had much when we were younger but they always made sure we had decent Xmas's and we may not have got games consoles (my step nan always bought my step brother the consoles and me and my little bro got the pleasure of watching him play, we were never allowed a go) but they always made sure we got everything else we wanted., as we got older they still stayed magical even without the Santa aspect. Unfortunately as we grew older still my step brother became an ever increasing idiot and his partner is the loudest person I've ever known, think Mr loud the story book loud. Makes me and the missus dread going to my parents on boxing day

Cause he was, that was the early 90's just before society turned into a bunch of fannies.

Be well.
Seriously tho I still have PTSD style nightmares of the shotgun scene. I think I was like 6 or 7. I then had access to Sky and watched every single Wes Craven film so it may not explain 100% of my issues

Oh yes I recall getting a snes quite late on. I thought I had no more presents and then got handed it at the end. I remember I was commended for not sulking when I thought I didn't get one.
Parents did this to me. Main present was a leather jacket, cool but i wanted a C64. Remember trying hard not to show disappointment! Mum kept telling me to try it on and look in the mirror behind the sofa.

Went behind the sofa and there was another wrapped present - a C64!!!

Why do parents do that?

Mines got to be the time we went to Scotland for Christmas and stayed at a hotel on the side of Loch Lomond I think. It’s one of my earliest memories and it was a snowy Christmas too.
