So I started my new way of life on saturday, youve all heard this before, kicking the junk out of your diet.

So its day 5 and im feeling the pinch, im ravenous. Ive drunk plenty of water today. Ive had breakfast and lunch. my body is screaming for something.

So I have just eaten a carrot. but what are your goto snacks, that you know are ok and guilt free (ish)?

rotters

Cooked meat
Nuts
Jerky (but most shop stuff is full off sugar, so I'm making my own)
Bag of salad with a touch of dressing and either meat or cheese
Can of fish
Omelette

It does kind of depend what your trying to achieve how you are doing it.
Lack off processed stuff and "low" carb, makes anything but making food at home hard work.

Going to add soup to that list, easy to freeze and reheat.

I find the biggest thing is to have stuff on hand and not being afraid to eat it, leave it to long and I end up binge eating. Nip the hunger with a bit off food and that doesn't happen.

As for sin free, it doesn't need to be, you just need to aware of how many calories you are consuming a day. If weight loss or maintenance is the main aim.

Carrots/celery (sometimes with houmous).
Nuts.
Protein shake.
Cherries/strawberries.
Fresh orange juice (i.e. chuck an orange in the blender with water).

Nuts. Unsalted, fruit, chocolate/biscuits.

The latter isn't very often to be fair, but if I feel like a slightly treat.

Fruit/nuts are the most common. Realistically I tend to just drink (water/squash) when I feel snackish.

I usually eat breakfast at about 7:30 so by 11am i'm starving so usually have something like belvita breakfast biscuits to snack on, also usually have a stock of bananas and/or satsumas at my desk. Just a ***** that we have a vending machine in the office that is ALWAYS stocked. Me and willpower haven't been the best of buddies lately.

I know what you mean. I make sure I have no cash with me at work.

jelly belly's
mainly cause the mrs got me the biggest ever tub of them for christmas i think 2.25kg....

This was my go to as well. However a 2.25kg tub would likely last me about 2 weeks if I'm lucky, so I've cut myself off from having them altogether.

Snacks these days == nothing. 3 meals a day and water/hot beverages in between.

If I get really hungry, I'll put half a sugar in my coffee, seems to feel more substantial.

I've taken to doing this as well. I've been fairly good with the willpower on my diet, but not having change to put in the vending machines helps.

Think I'm going to have to follow suit and do the same. Pay for lunch on card, I can avoid the sweets in the queue because I know I've got a sandwich on the way, but then after the weekends when I've been to the pub etc maybe just throw all my change in a bottle.
