What are your goto snacks?

I liek jerky when at work

At home at the moment its olives and sainsburys adriactic marinated anchovies with whatever random meat I have in the fridge
 
I have several different varieties of ryvita in the cupboard so I normally nibble on one of those. If I fancy something sweet it'll normally be a biscuit or some yoghurt with fruit mixed in.
 
So I started my new way of life on saturday, youve all heard this before, kicking the junk out of your diet.

So its day 5 and im feeling the pinch, im ravenous. Ive drunk plenty of water today. Ive had breakfast and lunch. my body is screaming for something.


So I have just eaten a carrot. but what are your goto snacks, that you know are ok and guilt free (ish)?

When you eat your big meals make sure you are eating plenty of protein and fat, that prevents hunger for the most part.

Otherwise I snack on anhing from fruit, nuts, cooked meat, cheese, carrots, celery.
Try to minimize things that are just loaded with sugar, beyond that it doesn't matter.
 
I usually eat breakfast at about 7:30 so by 11am i'm starving so usually have something like belvita breakfast biscuits to snack on, also usually have a stock of bananas and/or satsumas at my desk. Just a ***** that we have a vending machine in the office that is ALWAYS stocked. Me and willpower haven't been the best of buddies lately.

Yu are lucky it is a vending machine, we just have a kitchen filled to the brim with every kind of chocolate and sweet type you can buy from Costco, anything you want that is not stocked ou just buy a box with company credit card. Everything is free, you just snack all day if you want.
 
Unsalted and unroasted nuts.
Cold cuts of meat
Smoked salmon (I know :o)
Scrambled eggs
Fruits
And if I'm feeling lazy, protein shake.
 
I've had to give up the selection of dried fruit and nuts as a snack option. They were just running right through me. I'd have been just as well tossing the nuts straight into the toilet for the amount of time they wanted to stay inside me.

Oh well :(
 
Carrots or Nuts (Walnuts, Cashews, Almonds)

Made these recently:
1: Take 3 bags of cashews
2: mix them in a bowl with juice from 2 fresh limes and chilli powder
3: Bung them on a metal roasting tray in the oven until golden (not burnt)

You just made healthy roasted unsalted cashews as a snack :)
