What are your 'must have' options / functionality?

Not so much an option, but any car I have should be FUN.

I'm doing so few miles now that I have to enjoy driving it every time I get in it.

Bought a new car last year, and the only thing it 'had to have' was a heated front windscreen.

Everything else is 'nice to have'.

No hurry for anything 'better' to be honest. Just love being able to use it's performance on the road and drive the nuts off it without needing a warranty :D

Cruise control, climate control and electric windows/mirrors at a minimum.

Would also hold out for heated front screen. After that things are a bonus.

GPS, parking sensors, climate, auto lights, heated seats and the thing that has surprised me most, panoramic roof, I'd really struggle to buy a car without one now.

Just air-con and bluetooth with audio TBH.

My current car is specced out its nut right now:

Climate
Bluetooth
Cruise Control
Elec Seats
Front and Rear PDC
Auto Parking
Reversing Camera
Sat Nav
18" Alloys
Dual HID lights
Ambient Lighting with colour choice
Half Leather
Heated Seats
Quickclear Windscreen
Power Folding Mirrors

I do enjoy driving it :)

Reading through here I must have very simple tastes or am a very basic person! :p

I guess it depends if I were doing lots of motorway miles and long commuting I would want more modcons. But since I use my car just for fun those things drop down the list.

I'm going to be contrary and state new options that I really hate on new cars:-

Start/Stop tech (I know can normally turn it off but I hate it)
Electric Handbrakes (just why, why why)

Aircon, bluetooth audio streaming and cruise are the things I couldn't do withoutl. On the age of cars I buy I usually have to go aftermarket for the last two.

Never understood the appeal of climate control. On everything outside of sophisticated systems like the one on the S class it never works properly and still needs as much driver input as manual controls to keep me comfy.

I suppose the main requirements are automatic transmission and a/c.
I have pretty much everything I want apart from night vision assist, LED adaptive headlights and the accident prevention stuff that brakes before one hits something.
I would not want to buy a car that would mean losing anything I already have apart from TV which is not useful in a car even for music (as the audio bitrate is low) and I never use.
