I was wondering what are your NVIDIA® 3D Vision experiences?

Do you enjoy it and would you like to see it become main stream?

I only used the explore version, with the colored goggles.

It works nice, some games have some nice depth to it which really adds to the experience.

However:
It makes my eyes hurt/ strains my eyes a lot more than normal gaming.
It eats performance.
Some games aren't perfect in 3d.

I'd love to try the proper 3d vision, if 120hz monitors became more mainstream, and the 3d goggles became cheaper and it didn't eat so much gpu power, so far, a normal screen suits me fine.

I really liked the effect, but it gave me a headache very quickly, I think the performance hit is way too large, and it;'s cost prohibitive especially when you consider the performance hit. It's cost prohibitive especially if you've already got a recent graphics card (say ATi that doesn't support nVidia's 3D Vision) or an expensive monitor that isn't 120Hz (I've got 3 2408s  :p)

Even tho the affect is good generally and the glasses fairly comfortable your eyes do start to feel fatigued after 30-40mins tops even if it doesn't give you headaches. In the end its just less of a chore to play in regular 2D tho - can't really describe it but its easier to take things in, less effort to play, etc. without the glasses.

I was wondering that... til he said main <space> stream.

You'd be surprised at the amount of spelling mistakes so called "Pros" make. I've seen a "band" mis-spell their own band name on their youtube account page, as well as various other similar things.

Yeah i see coughs posting topics with his questions about anything and everything. Market research indeed lol. As he rarely replies once he posts the topic. Iirc correctly.

while this is an interesting question I can't help but feel you are here on market research work.

Good!

Why don't we tell him what we really think then?

Cause then they can make a better product! That's what's interesting to me, have a moan but when someone from the actual company shows up we all hate it and become defensive. Makes no sense!

I bought the asus 3d vision package about a month ago and love it. I've played batman AA in 3D for 4 hours straight and had no problem with headaches or eye strain.
