What bands have a similar sound to the Deftones?

They are a great band but only seem to release an album every 5 years or so.

Anyone know any similar sounding stuff?

First port of call should be Team Sleep, Its Chino Moreno's side project and is kind of similar to some of the stuff on Saturday Night Wrist. And its just superb

Although several of them aren't, stuff like Mudvayne, 36 Crazyfists are kind of similar.

I prefer their more chilled stuff, so I'll definitely check out Team Sleep...

I'm not too keen on the Mudvayne stuff I've heard, but I'll check out 36 Crazyfists to see what they are like...

Chilled out stuff, maybe Tool? Its hard to recommend similar stuff because Chino's vocals are so unique so I'm just recommending stuff I also like really!

Heres a random one for you, the second bonus track on the 30s to Mars album sounds very chillout deftones to me. Really weirded me out, winamp shuffled to it and for a minute i couldnt tell who it was.

I'll check out Sparta, not heard of them before...

Tool I have heard of tho, I'll have to dig out the CD's again as it's been a while since I've listened to them... I think I've got the first 30 seconds to mars album also somewhere, I'll check out their more recent stuff also.
