What boiler part is this?

It appears as though this boiler part is broken so I'm looking under pressure switches and can't find anything.

The purple wire bit.

Any experienced person care to entertain me. Thanks.

Dude leave that shiz alone! Phone an expert to your house. Many people die from messing around with their boiler. But looking at that pic i think its a flux capacitor

It is on the CH return pipe. It kept blowing pcb fuses and the mains fuse until I unplugged the wires leading me to believe it's that part. Unplugging the pump meant it still blew fuses.

Looks like like the motor for the diverter valve which switches the flow of water between the heating and the hot water heat exchanger. Hard to tell from the photo, what make and model is the boiler ?

(I am no expert though)

Sigh... you all suck.

OP, it's a low pressure switch. Usually used to stop the boiler firing when the system pressure drops below 0.5bar. Also works like a pump proving switch on some boilers IIRC.

If you tell me what boiler it is I can get you a part number, though it's pretty common among various models/manufacturers.
