This is for my daughter, she will game at 1080p. It will be with a 5600.
Whats the best sort of second hand GPU to look for to go with it, about £150 second hand?

3060 mite be doable at that price point but try and get a 5600/5600x over the 5500 CPU as the latter is only pcie3 and has less L3 cache which can affect gaming performance.

It sounds like Nvidia is still the better option at this point then?
I didn't know if AMD with their boost on AMD processors would be better, or is that just the newer randges?
That's great thanks Mickyfinn. I'll definetly go for one of them two then

Okay great thanks. I'll go for a 650-850w gold rated. I guess it depends on what GPU I find

6600 non-XT and 2060 are more or less the same ballpark. 6000 cards currently have more limited FSR support than later cards.

Are you referring to SAM? That's just rebar.

Ah yes, thats it, it was Sam that I was thinking of.

nVidia cards do have a bit more of a driver overhead than AMD or Intel ARC, but as you've said in your other thread that you've found a 5600 for it, that should be plenty to drive any card in your price range
