Finally took the plunge and ordered my le40m87 from Beyond Television. Could have waited around for newer sets etc but then you can ALWAYS be waiting around for the next sets and never order one.

So it should arrive tomorrow if BT delivery times are to be believed but i would appreciate some help regarding my setup.

I am buying a samsung 5.1 surround set to go with this, along with my ps3 and a sky+ box.

Could anyone advise me on what cables i require to get the most out of this setup? I have no idea how i will get dvd/ps3/sky all to utilise the surround sound let alone connect it all up to the TV.

Imagine i have no cables what so ever and spec me up please

This is the surround i was looking at buying, speak up if its rubbish :)

Samsung HT-THX25R/XEU 600 Watt 5.1 Channel Home Cinema System With Tallboy Speakers HDMI And USB Host

Thanks guys sorry for constant questions but i just want to get this right

its rubbish lol. it only has one input and thats a 2 channel stereo input. no video inputs, no 5.1 inputs for your ps3 gaming or your skybox.

you'll need am amplifier with at least 2 digital inputs for your console and skybox. video switching on the amp isnt that important as long as you can plug everything you want it to the tv. however, that isnt something that's common in small all-in systems like that samsung. actually i cant think of any that do, not without getting in to silly money.

unless somebody else can recommend a system to fit your requirements, im afraid you may have to spend quite a bit more to do what you want

woah damn, thanks for the quick reply man you saved me wasting my money. I can only budget up to about £300 for some sound, its just the sound from the samsung tvs are apparently rubbish.

The reason for picking that surround set was that it would match the tv :)

In that case, can someone help me get sorted with a surround sound set to get my ps3 working through it and my sky? or do all these all in one sets only work with their dvd player? :(
