Hi all got my new Freezer 7 Pro coming tomorrow, and was wondering what the best stuff to clean my CPU with is? I remember reading something about Isopropyl alcohol, but problem is it's coming tomorrow and I dunno if I'll be able to get it in time (plus i'm impatient :p) Is there anything around the house that I can use?

Also I'm sure it does but, does the freezer 7 come with its own AS? I have some AS left over but it's AS3 (bought over 3 years ago, lol)

thanks in advance

You can get isopropyl(sp?) alcohol from chemists (at least I did!). You get a bit bottle of it too for a few quid, just use some cotton wool with said alcohol to clean it with.

i normally just use kitchen roll too, but for the first time ever i used: isopropyl when i was setting up my watercooling, worked nicely:)

Lighter fluid works fine too. I've heard people recommend against it in the past as it apparently leaves a residue, but my temperatures have never been higher than anyone elses with comparable cooling/equipment and it gets the gunk off quick sharp. Evaporates away very quick too.

I then bought a bottle of Akasa TIM clean on a whim and that works very well too, although be warned you need VERY LITTLE of it cause that stuff goes a long way. Smells like oranges too, it's nice :D

Lol I think I will order some of that stuff at some point :)

can anyone confirm that the Arctic Freezer 7 comes with just a generic thermal pad or does it come with its own thermal paste?

I seem to remember my Freezer 64 coming with paste.

I use alcohol from the chemist and any lint free wipes that are around, has always worked well leaving no residue or fluffy bits :)
