I now have £240 spend on a new motherboard, Intel Core 2 Duo & ram I don't need a graphic card yet.
what would be he best options to spend the money on which would be an improvement on my current system, I don't know if it's worth getting an SLI or Crossfire board so a suggestion on both would be help fill.

Thanks

Get the setup that bayo mentioned, and if you have a 7900 card, sell it (and the rest of your stuff) and pickup a 8800 GT too. Cost is about 100, which will take you fully in to your budget.

Depends though, but the 7900 will be a bit of a bottleneck to your current system.

I have had a look and I am going to get the
Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6550 2.33GHz Retail / Abit IP35 / 2GB OCZ PC2-8500C5 DDR2 Dual Channel Kit - Bundle that Chris74 suggested from OCUK
£244 including p&p I will use 1 of 7900gs sell the other and save for a good graphic card, then the 7900gs I will have left will go in my daughters PC.
That's why I cant sell what I am using now as it will become my daughters PC a good upgrade from a socket A.

Thanks for your help guys :)

regards
D
