What can you do to Clio 182 ?

haha not a fan of the rear at all, real shame because as said from the front it is stunning.

Really wish Renault would change their logo though, its so bad... just reminds me of big family cars.

But i guess it's an established logo now so chances of that happening are very very slim.

HXC yours is a cooper!? go get a sport or a jcw :D

The V6 has much more road presence than most hot hatches. It's wide and larey, it will proabbly kill you going back words through a hedge.

Oh and you have a great sounding V6 sat right behind your head :)

It's a 93 dear, old Mini :p

Cooper Sport's are 97-01 and cost a bomb, John Cooper garage modded ones go for even more... JC modded coopers up to about 92bhp, enough for a car weighing 650kg and having a rather impressive sensation of speed.

V6s do indeed look very powerful on the road, think it's the wide low body that does that.

^ As above. He says the build quality isnt that good, its no cruiser as the engine is screaming away however loved how it tripoded and was a hoot to drive fast.

Op - What colour was the 182 and what area were you in at the time? CS detectives will hunt it down for you lol

burgundy, north notts, dice hanging from rear ( outside car ) and what looked like bucket seats

is it not possible this was just a midly fettled stipped out one that happened to have got the jump on you at the lights ?

they've got plenty of pull, and their slow 0-60 time merely reflects the front wheel drive limitations. If you've set off behind him, you've let him overcome his FWD deficit, then scamper off into the distance.

Dont forget off course, you have to be quite a bit faster to start catching up a car thats got the power down and is accelerating away from you, when you've only just thought about putting the pedal down.

By the sounds of it, if you'd persevered and given chase you'd probably have caught him up.

There is a Turboed Inferno going about, so i dunno... that WOULD give a Caymen a very good run for its money, in a straight line and on a track.

By burgundy i guess you mean Inferno?
could have been a Trophy.

My guess he means a flame red, which case it's a 172...

Inferno would be too orange to say it was burgandy, and a trophy is as red as a ferrari :)

We all know a V6 Clio is a hypercar, it would have easily had a Veyron from a standing start, let alone a Caymen ;)

Show ANY car a road with twisties and 172 Cup (worms) would > anything ;)

If it's the "fat arse" v6 you've been done by a mid engined 2 seater. V6 MK2s do 0-62 in 5.8sec apparently, the same as the current caymen.

If it's at all modded or driven by someone who knows how to launch a car, this would explain why it took off in front of you :p

wasnt this one was it ?

if so, that would go some way to explain why he left you with a clean pair of heels. Those v6 clios are weapons.
