What can you live with and without in a case?

Hey All

Imagine your perfect case, what is the ONE thing you would have in your perfect case regardless of everything else. Is it strength? Front USB ports? Maybe looks? Airflow? Expansion? Etc...

Now, if you could have that perfect case, but you had to say no to another feature that is present in most cases today to have your feature instead, what could you live without?

What I wish to conduct here is a survey of sorts to see what is popular and not so popular in cases, and eventually design a case that responds to the survey.

Silence. I currently have my motherboard on my desk with no case while my GPU is in RMA, and the fan and HDD noise is killing me.
 
The thing I would have to have is looks, I would never buy a case I thought was ugly (unless major dremel surgery was coming up). As for a common feature I wouldn't mind losing, I would say tool-less installation. I have screwdrivers, and I don't mind using them.

5.25 drive bays. I want atx/matx cases that are small enough to fit in my rucksack along with my old 22 inch monitor.
 
Looks and price is probably most important - I wont buy an ugly case, nor one that is overpriced (that said, case prices seem to be massively up on when I last bought a new case - the LL mid towers are now double what they were).

I can definitely live without a removable motherboard and tool-less assembly - both a waste of time IMO.
 
I could do away with tool-less features, 5.25" slots.
I would like to enough space for watercooling e.g. 120.4 rad, to be quiet look nice.(v2000 would fit the bill.)
 
its hardly perfect if you only get to choose one thing about it :(

i guess if i had to pick one it would be dust filtering.cable management comes second along with airflow and silence.

i just cleaned out my pc earlier and it took a few hours and was a nightmare with tar all over the fans and crap from smoking and being a crap old antec theres really no cable management apart from stuffing it all into the 5 1/2 drive ><

rjkoneill's checklist includes the following:

1. Room for a Quad Rad
2. Room for another Rad
3. must not look like its made of lego/designed by a 6 year old

no room for rads?
