what can you use this extra rear port for?

I have a had 922 case and was wondering what the vertical port cover would be used for

It looks about the same size as a normal graphics card or whatever out facing port plate
 
Just that, its a PCI blanking slot. Can be used for whatever needs a PCI slot plate, but not a connection, such as USB, sound card headers, molex plates etc.
 
Thanks that's what I thought it was for, may use the two usb headers I have to connect to it in that case..ill see what's available
