Given that most people could probably afford to buy or finance either the car they want or at least something similar as long as its not something like a Ferrari and that in reality its the cost of running the thing - that puts the brakes on the idea, I'm going to interpret this as meaning a car with zero costs you need to fund yourself beyond petrol.
So, if I could pick any fully expensed car I wanted it'd probably be an F10 M5.
Me personally, I'd have the Nissan GTR. Think it's a beast of a car although I'd probably end up killing myself considering that for the last 7 years I've owned a Fiat Punto Sport
Probably a bit lower down the food chain than your expecting but a 370Z.. has a decent amount of performance and a bit of comfort, its not going to be nearly as brutal as the GTR, for how little it would be used to its full potential I cant see the point in owning anything too extreme, would be cheaper to just hire them as and when you wanted to drive one
