what card am i looking at to double my fps from a old 9700pro

I am just upgrading from an XP 2800 and 5900XT to A64 3800+ and 7600GT, cost 197+vat (incl. motherboard) should have it tomorrow.
Can't wait to see if it will make Oblivion playable 'cos at the mo it is too slow.

in these new motherboards that take the pci new graphic cards, will they still take the old ram like pc3200 samsung ? thx

Socket 939 mobos still take 3200 DDR, that's what I'm getting so I don't need new memory.

just a suggestion... the Asrock dual 939 sata is a cracking board that supports both AGP and PCI-E and also allows you to upgrade to socket AM2 / DDR2 memory without having to change the motherboard. the chipset on them is good and overclockings not too bad either. i have on ehere and am running my opteron 148 @ 2.95Ghz.
