what causes slow punctures?

Damaged wheel/tyre, not a proper fit to the wheel, but air can also permeate the rubber over time, but this tends to be very slow.

Uh.....

Damaged tyres? Damaged or porous wheels? Not likely to be anything else is it? Unless the area you live in is infested by air-stealing pixies who go around taking bits of air out of car tyres....:p

it bugs the hell out of me. i think the last 5-6 cars ive had have each had at least one slow puncture. i only got the BBSs for the golf last week, put the correct air in them and a week later the handling feels off. i check the pressures, the NSF has lost 4LB...

my sister hardly looks after her boxster at all. i saw it for the first time in about a year this weekend. checked the pressures for her, they were still perfect :o

sometimes tyre places put lead balancing weights on alloy wheels. They shouldn't really because it corrodes the alloy which can cause a slow puncture. They should use stickers.
