Hi chaps,

I'm currently putting together the latest version of my OcUK Xbox Gamertag site, which is coming along nicely but my main concern is extendibility. In future I'd like the ability for users to author reviews, post comments, upload pictures and otherwise create their own content.

Therefore rather than coding it (potentially badly) from scratch, I wanted to look into using a CMS or other framework.

What would you recommend? My webhost consists of PHP and MySQL and all of my user data is stored in a further MySQL database.

Not much reason for creating a CMS from scratch now considering security and the amount already out there..

I'm looking at Kentico at the moment but this is ASPX..

Joomla! is good though..

I use Joomla and think it's great. Some people say it's a resource hog but I don't agree. It has a huge community with hundreds (if not thousands) of plugins.

Another vote for wordpress here. Can quite easily integrate it into existing web designs as well, nice back-end (found this easier than Joomla) and hundreds of plugins availiable for it.

I'm a kentico developer, pretty good reliable cms and Cheap!, there's a restricted free version too.

but prices are about to go up, as there has been so much development on it particularly in the social media side of things.
