what console?

i`m thinkng of buying a game console and haven`t got a clue which one is best.any advice would be great

Just got myself a 360.

Didnt want to pay £500+ for a PS3 and have to wait and have to buy games.

Didnt fancy a Wii as controller looks wierd and also works wierd.

With xbox360 games like gears of war/COD3 the xbox360 would murder your PC graphics

I think there would most likely be very few games that your ati 9800xt could get anywhere near to in PQ..

As i hate to think of what would be the last highend game out that a 9800xt could run at 1280x768 with all the graphic details set on high.

Really depends where you purchase your games tbh, high street store, and PC games are marginally cheaper if new, online there's more of a price difference (pc being cheaper), but there is also some budget games for the 360 (good ones) that are the same sort of price as the newer pc titles.

As said Gears Of War & Call Of Duty are stunning looking games.

Not really that much more, talking about £2-3 more on release day providing you shop around on the AAA titles.

The 360 has had several £25rrp titles released, like Table Tennis.

Do as many people do here and buy them out of the MM for about £15 to £18 each

GoW does look amazing, cant say I want a 360 though, its not really my cup of tea.
I'm more into the Wii, the games and the gameplay just excite me more, plus I'm a total Nintendoid.

You do now and then see great offers on PC games not long after the release of F.E.A.R some places were selling it for less than £20 new. The 360 has been out for a while so I'm guessing there's plenty of preowned games going cheap now if you look around too.

I think with competition from the wii and ps3 looming the 360 games will drop to normal levels eg 39.99 rrp.
