what console?

Xbox 360 = £200
Stand alone bluray player = £200

or

PS3 = £290

That's a £110 saving. He gets to play Blurays on his 50" TV.

Also, If he does want a 360 in future, He has £110 to play with.

360 is cheaper than that so is standalone br players
but you know that

any advice please ? im a casul gammer like shooting /army/fight/rpg games

There are Pros and Cons for owning both and the forum is vehemently divided.

The 360 does have a larger variety and selection of games and is the only console with a huge number of exisiting and imminent rpgs. You can also get a Premium for £190.
The PS3 has blu-ray and some extremely strong titles but does cost more.

If you do decide on a PS3 I would recommend waiting for the 80GB plus DS3 package over the 40GB and non-rumble one currently available.

Both consoles are great and it should come down to what games you prefer, what your friends play on and how important blu-ray is.

I know what? DO me a favor, Stop trying to cause arguements, and actually back up your claim instead, I did a look around for a new 360 and a new Bluray player.

you looked where?
360 arcade is not £200
standalone players can be had for £160
i am not causing no argument he asked opinions i gave one move on and do yourself a favour

You can get a PS3 for just over £200. You can play PS3 and Ps1 games (upscaled) as well as Blu-Rays, which was my original point. On top of that you can browse the Internet and use it as a wireless music and video source or use it as a full Linux box.

You're desperately trying to make the PS3 not look value for money, but you will fail as you do with most of your posts.

Kinda obvious I wasn't pricing up an arcade I think. I was pricing the premium the one with the hardware that equals what you get with the PS3.

I mean with the arcade the OP couldnt even use the download service for HD media.

And the Bluray player at £160, Fair play. I wasnt aware there were any good quality v1.1 players that could be had that cheap.

like your desperate to make everyone think the same as you?
its not worth the money to test blu ray no
if he is a casual gamer then 360 is the better option or just get a standalone br machine
the other day you were slating the ps3 as a linux box now its a good thing?
make your mind up

hehe, You are most welcome, If you stay longer you'll see how a OCUK thread get's traditionally trashed by trolls :p

hi, i personaly recomened you get both, they are both great consoles.

if you do look to get a ps3, please let me know as iv got a new one for sale and can give you a good price.

Something that I thought about (although I did want a PS3 anyway...) but the 360 doesn't include WiFi - which adds £60 to the price if you aren't near enough to your router to cable it.

PS3

Has plenty of games out now and is a good updateable Blu-ray player with plenty of BR films available

there's a online special on a catalogue company for the 40gig at £199 at the mo, only 31 left according to the site, think they are clearing old stock ready for the 80gig

PS3 seems to be definately gathering steam recently. So many games due out which interest me on PS3 - I thought about buying another 360 recently but then when I looked at the lineup of titles due out I realised there was nothing at all which interested me!
