Pointless card even if you had the money. How much faster than a 6990 is it overall?

roughly this much:

the 6990 being represented by crossfire 6950's because of the reduced clock speeds, the Asus Mars II being represented by SLI 580's

however, i bet its a hell of a lot quieter than the 6990

wow, its a lot quieter than the 6990. its about as loud as a 5850

729W Power Consumption max.... You'd struggle to find a PSU that could support these SLI... maybe a 1500W at a push?

i think you'd need to combine two 1KW psu's, ive heard of that being done before, just never seen how it would work

You can get connectors that switch on the second PSU via its 24pin ATX (as you wont need this connector as the first PSU will power the motherboard) when it receives power from a standard Molex connector from the first PSU.

There are even cheaper versions to which look like a bunch of cables.
